About the Amazon VPC Lattice

Amazon VPC Lattice is a fully managed service that provides a consistent and secure way to connect, secure, and monitor communication between services across multiple Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs) and AWS accounts. It abstracts complex networking tasks such as service discovery, request-level routing, and network address translation across IPv4, IPv6, and overlapping IP addresses. VPC Lattice supports service-level policies for access control and traffic management, including authentication, authorization, encryption, and routing for HTTP/HTTPS and gRPC traffic. It integrates with AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) and supports a mix of compute types including EC2 instances, containers, and Lambda functions. Key capabilities include custom domain names with SSL/TLS support, Kubernetes-native experience with AWS Gateway API Controller, support for Application and Network Load Balancer targets, dual-stack (IPv4 and IPv6) support, and comprehensive observability for troubleshooting and monitoring.
