About the Apache OODT

Apache OODT (Object Oriented Data Technology) is a data management system framework that facilitates the integration, archiving, and processing of scientific and technical data. Originally developed at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, it is now an open-source project managed by the Apache Software Foundation. OODT provides a middleware framework for managing distributed data, metadata, and workflows. Its core components include a File Manager for tracking data and metadata, a Workflow Manager for orchestrating complex processes, and a Resource Manager for allocating tasks.
