About the AT&T Enhanced Push-to-Talk

AT&T Enhanced Push-to-Talk (EPTT) is a robust, IP-based push-to-talk (PTT) communication service that provides instant, walkie-talkie-like functionality over AT&T's 4G LTE network and Wi-Fi. Designed for businesses and public safety agencies (especially via FirstNet), it enables near real-time voice communication to individuals or large talk groups (up to 250 members in Standard, 3,000 in Enhanced). Beyond voice, EPTT offers secure messaging (text, photos, videos, files), location tracking, presence management, and personal alerts. It provides two user interfaces: a "Basic" UI and an "LMR" (Land Mobile Radio) UI for users transitioning from traditional two-way radios. Advanced features include emergency calling and alerts (prioritizing calls), user check (remotely monitoring battery/signal), and the ability for supervisors to override channels. EPTT aims to boost productivity, improve situational awareness, and enhance safety for mobile and frontline workforces by providing reliable and secure instant communication.
