Azure Archive Storage is an offline storage tier within the Azure Blob Storage service, optimized for storing data that is rarely accessed and can tolerate retrieval latency on the order of hours. It offers the lowest storage costs but the highest access and transaction costs, making it ideal for long-term backups, compliance data, and other "cold" data retention for a minimum of 180 days. It uses the same management tools and APIs as the Hot and Cool access tiers.
