Azure Content Delivery Network (Azure CDN) is a global distributed network of servers (Points of Presence - POPs) provided by Microsoft Azure. It is designed to efficiently deliver web content to users by caching static and even accelerating dynamic content at edge locations geographically closer to the end-users. This minimizes latency, reduces load on origin servers, and improves the overall performance and availability of web applications. Azure CDN integrates seamlessly with other Azure services like Azure Blob Storage, Azure Web Apps, and Azure Media Services. Key features include global coverage with numerous POPs, flexible caching rules, secure delivery with HTTPS and custom domain SSL, intelligent routing, Dynamic Site Acceleration (DSA), and real-time logging and analytics.
