About the Azure Key Vault

Azure Key Vault is a cloud service provided by Microsoft Azure for securely storing and accessing secrets, cryptographic keys, and SSL/TLS certificates. It centralizes the storage of these sensitive items, significantly reducing the risk of accidental exposure and enhancing security posture. Key Vault integrates with other Azure services and applications, allowing developers to retrieve credentials programmatically without hardcoding them. It supports both software-protected and Hardware Security Module (HSM)-backed keys, offering various levels of security and compliance (e.g., FIPS 140-2 Level 2 and Level 3).
