About the Azure Site Recovery

Azure Site Recovery is a disaster recovery as a service (DRaaS) solution from Microsoft Azure that helps businesses maintain business continuity by keeping applications and workloads running during planned and unplanned outages. It achieves this by replicating workloads running on physical or virtual machines from a primary site to a secondary location, which can be another Azure region or a secondary on-premises datacenter. This service orchestrates the replication, failover, and failback processes from a single location in the Azure portal, reducing the cost and complexity of a traditional disaster recovery infrastructure. It supports various replication scenarios, including Azure VMs to another region, on-premises VMware VMs, Hyper-V VMs, and physical servers to Azure.
