About the Azure StorSimple

Azure StorSimple was a hybrid cloud storage solution from Microsoft that integrated an on-premises physical or virtual appliance with Azure cloud storage. It was designed to simplify storage management, data protection, and disaster recovery for enterprises. StorSimple automatically tiered data, keeping frequently accessed "hot" data on-premises for fast performance and moving less frequently accessed "cold" data to the cloud to reduce storage costs. It provided a single management interface through the Azure portal to manage both on-premises and cloud storage, but its support ended in 2022 and has since been replaced by other Azure services.
