About the BitPesa

BitPesa was a Kenyan fintech company that leveraged blockchain technology to facilitate fast and low-cost business payments to and from Africa. It was founded by Elizabeth Rossiello and was one of the first blockchain companies to receive a license from the UK's Financial Conduct Authority. The platform provided services for businesses to accept and make payments in various African and international currencies, utilizing both banks and mobile money services like M-Pesa. In 2019, BitPesa was rebranded as AZA Finance.
