About the Elastic Stack

The Elastic Stack, formerly known as the ELK Stack, is a powerful suite of open-source products designed to take data from any source, in any format, and then search, analyze, and visualize it in real-time. It is comprised of four core components: Elasticsearch (a distributed search and analytics engine), Kibana (a data visualization and management tool), Logstash (a data processing pipeline), and Beats (lightweight data shippers). The stack is widely used for observability (logs, metrics, APM), security analytics (SIEM), and enterprise search. It can be deployed on-premise, in a self-managed cloud, or as a fully managed service on Elastic Cloud.
