About the FlockDB

FlockDB is an open-source, distributed, and fault-tolerant graph database. It was originally developed by Twitter to manage social graphs, such as user relationships like "who follows whom." The database is designed for high-throughput, low-latency, and horizontally scalable environments. Unlike more complex graph databases, FlockDB is optimized for storing adjacency lists and is well-suited for applications that require a high rate of add, update, and remove operations, as well as complex set arithmetic queries on a massive scale.
