About the Prometheus

Prometheus is an open-source monitoring and alerting toolkit originally developed at SoundCloud. It collects metrics from configured targets at specified intervals, evaluates rule expressions, displays the results, and can trigger alerts. It features a multidimensional data model with a powerful query language called PromQL, a flexible time-series database, and is a part of the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF).
