About the SAP ECC

SAP ECC evolved from earlier SAP systems such as R/3, bringing a more robust, modular architecture for managing financial accounting (FI), controlling (CO), sales and distribution (SD), materials management (MM), production planning (PP), project systems (PS), human capital management (HCM), quality management (QM), and other enterprise functions within one suite. ECC integrates diverse enterprise data into real-time workflows facilitating efficient operations, compliance, and data-driven decision-making. ECC 6.0, released in 2006, became the globally predominant SAP ERP, supporting diverse industries from manufacturing to retail. SAP ECC served as the core of SAP Business Suite and is slated to be succeeded by SAP S/4HANA by 2027.
