SAP S/4HANA Cloud is SAP’s next-generation intelligent ERP system built on the in-memory SAP HANA database, designed for the cloud with real-time analytics and AI-driven automation. It supports comprehensive business functions including finance, sales, supply chain management, production, human resources, services, and asset management. Launched as a SaaS in February 2017, it comes in two main editions: Public Edition (multi-tenant) for rapid deployment with standardized best practices, and Private Edition offering greater customization and control hosted by cloud hyperscalers like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. SAP continually updates S/4HANA Cloud quarterly with innovations like SAP CoPilot (a digital assistant), machine learning automation, predictive analytics, and sustainability features.
